Mohanlal the superstar of Malayalam film world appears in the big screen through his new project Barroz directed by Mohanlal and produced by Antoney Perumbavoor Ashirvad Cinemas. Barooz is a movie written by Jijo Punnoose based on his finest piece of writing Guardian of D’Gamas. Mohanlal stars in its titular role along with Maya, Cesar Lorente Raten, Tuhin Menon and Gru Somasundhram in other significant roles. Mark Kilian has created the orginal scores and songs by Lydian Nadaswaram.
The shooting which was much delayed due to the outbreak of the pandemic Covid 19 and resumed it in 2021 before wrapping up in July 2022. The movie was mainly shot in Kochi and Goa while filming of two songs took place in Bangkok and Chennai. Barroz is scheduled to be released worldwide on 3 October 2024.
