The entire Malayalam cinema industry and fans are eagerly awaiting the official release of Mohanlal featured L2: Empuraan, the highly anticipated continuation to the 2019 hitmaker Malayalam thriller Lucifer. Having directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the action thriller is the second installment in a planned trilogy. The film is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas, with Antony Perumbavoor and Subaskaran at the helm as producers.
Mohanlal repeats his role as Khureshi-Ab’raam or Stephen Nedumpally, leading an ensemble cast that includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Fazil, and Sachin Khedekar. The film is set for a grand theatrical release on March 27, 2025, with fans eagerly counting down the days.
