Hema Commision Report which has been delayed for a long time by the Kerala State Government is finally out. A committee was set up 2017 by the state government to investigate the harassment, sexual assault and violence against women working in the Malayalam Film Industry. They had a detailed study by interviewing several women working in the industry from past to now in the light of solid evidence and submitted the report to the government.
It clearly reveals that woman were deeply exploited by men working in the industry by asking them to some sexual Favours in order to get a job. Though the commission submitted a detailed report of 295 pages almost 5 years ago it had been unrevealed and finally it was given to the media under Right To Information Act. The report found some men of higher reputation in the industry as an actor or director have shocked the women with their behavior.
