Kathanar is an Indian Malayalam language period fantasy thriller big budget movie to be released in the near future offering a lot of visual treats to the audience. The movie has been directed by Rojin Thomas placing Jayasurya in the central role along with Anushka Shetty, Prabhu Deva and Vineeth. The movie has been produced by Gokulam Gopalan while the cinematography has undertaken by Neil D’Cunha.
April 2023 witnessed the beginning of Principal Photography, and it is shot using the most modern virtual Production technology in custom built studio. The production of it is estimated almost 100 crores Indian rupees. The makers of the movie planning to release in December 2024 in various languages including English, French, Chinese, Korienetc.
