The shoot of the upcoming Kannada movie halted for a short period following the sudden death of a junior artist from Kerala during the shooting. The junior artist Kapil from Kerala, part of the upcoming movie died due to drowning in the water. As per the investigation done by police, Kapil had reportedly entered the river for a swim after filming when he was caught by strong current and taken away.
It was reported 07th May that a junior artist, M.F. Kapil, breathed his last while shooting for the Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara in Kerala. A day later, the production house of the film Hombale Films inscribed a note on their X (formerly Twitter) account to share an official statement clearing that the tragedy did not occur on the set of the film. This comes after the All Indian Cine Workers Association brought out a statement in which they demanded a serious and detailed investigation into the death of M.F. Kapil.
