Ponman is a recently released Malayalam movie stared by popular Malayalam artists Basil Joseph and Sajin Gopu in the leading roles. The film is based on the story of the novel Naalanchu Cheruppakkar by G.R. Indugopan, with the screenplay woven out by G.R. Indugopan and Justin Mathew. In a coastal village, gold dealer Ajesh lends 25 sovereigns to Bruno for his sister Steffy’s wedding and the trouble begins when Steffy weds notorious criminal Mariano, who seizes the gold and plots to kill Ajesh.
A subject that digs deep into the unpleasant marriage culture among the coastal side. Talks a lot about the hostile and toxic male behavior. A straightforward plot that doesn’t have much pleasant elements or eventful episodes. It is not comedy drama and it gets darker and darker towards the intermission.
